Archaeoistiodactylus was a pterosaur, a type of flying reptile. It was not a dinosaur, though it lived during the same period. Archaeoistiodactylus lived during the Middle Jurassic and resided in Asia. The first Archaeoistiodactylus fossil was discovered in 2011.
